Get involved with the RJC Jolly Drive-Thru

RJC is getting into the festive spirit! We’re excited to announce our next giving back campaign!

We’re hosting a special drive thru to collect presents for children as part of the Mission Christmas appeal.

Details of the Drive-Thru

On Thursday 7th December, several of our vehicles will be decorated ready to collect donated gifts as we drive through villages of Church Fenton and Cawood in North Yorkshire.

The ‘ RJC Jolly Drive-Thru’ will begin in Church Fenton, stopping outside Kirk Fenton Primary School at 4.30pm where school children will entertain us with Christmas carols. The team will move on to the next collection point at the Blacksmith’s Arms and then onto Cawood.  We’ll have a collection point outside Cawood Primary School around 5.30pm.

We know that many families have found this year extremely challenging, and unfortunately there will be lots of children who wont have presents to open on Christmas Day. We wanted to do something for the children of North and West Yorkshire and the Mission Christmas appeal is a great campaign to support.

If people are able to join us, please come out and cheer on the team as we drive through the villages collecting donations.

Donation Christmas Gifts

If you would like to donate gifts – here’s a few tips:

The Mission Christmas appeal collects gifts and donations for children from birth to 18.

  • The charity struggle most with gifts for babies and teenagers (especially boys).
  • All donations are to be new gifts, unwrapped.
  • Selection boxes are welcomed. No other food items are accepted
  • If you’re donating an item that requires batteries, it would be appreciated if they were attached to the item
  • New clothing items with tags are also accepted

We’ll be collecting donations on Thursday 7th December ready to hand over to Mission Christmas HQ.

More gift ideas are available on the Mission Christmas website.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 7th December with our RJC elves and Santa!
